Wednesday, 20. March 2019, Auditorium, County Service Building #2, 2020 Reach Code Charrette for Local Governments hosted in San Jose

Silicon Valley Clean Energy (SVCE), Peninsula Clean Energy (PCE) and the San Mateo County Office of Sustainability are working with cities to set reach code goals, engage communities, and research cost- effectiveness for residents and businesses. This Charrette will build on past conversations to show possible reach code options, get City feedback and continue to move the reach code conversation forward with the goal of cities adopting a reach code for the 2019 Building Standards Code Cycle. 

During this Charrette, we will cover:

Potential reach code pathways for Building Electrification and Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure

Reach Code adoption process and timeline

Stakeholder engagement 

Consultant support available
Individual City needs and questions

Who from your jurisdiction should attend:

Sustainability Staff 
Planning and Building Department Staff and Officials
City Manager Office Staff 
Elected Officials

The session will be closed to general public. If you are unable to make this event, please share comments or request a meeting through our website interest form. 
We will be providing lunch from 11:30am-12pm. During lunch, there will be an opportunity for open discussion with the builder, real estate, and design stakeholders attending the closed morning session.
