Sunday, 02. June 2019, Villa del Sol Community Space, Body Language & Physical Theatre

If one wants to be technical, all theatre is physical theatre. Body Language & Physical Theatre will dive into understanding how the body communicates and miscommnicates intentions to an audience. Strengthening an actor's observation skills to devolp a richer, more complex real character without relying on verbal language.
This workshop will be taught by Amber Lee Olivier. She also teaches Commedia dell'Arte workshops with Asylum. She trained in commedia dell'Arte with Antonio **** in Italy; trained in Lecoq physical theatre with Veronica Coburn from Barabbas Theatre Co. in Ireland, is a former professional dancer, has also been a yoga teacher for 11 years.
This class will teach and sharpen the actor's skills of interpreting body language of others and responding with body language to be understood.
