Tuesday, 25. September 2018, The Raphael Center, Conversations with Joan: The Light in 9/11

We all experience traumatic times in life. At those times, we come to a fork in the road: we can allow what is happening to get us down and defeat us, or we can make the choice to turn the struggle into something positive, an opportunity for growth.
Transformation is possible for everyone - even in the darkest hours of our life.  Joining Joan for this inspiring event is Lisa Luckett,  a woman who lost her husband on 9/11. Lisa was left a widow with three young children.  In spite of her despair, Lisa vowed that she would make something positive come from the nightmare that changed our world forever. With a warrior’s will, she reframed her pain into a fast track for personal growth and positive change for herself and for her young family. Lisa's mantra, "choose courage”, reminds us that we are strong, resilient, and have a choice in how we live our lives. As a 9/11 widow, single mother, and breast cancer survivor, Lisa knows the value of life’s struggles and sees the light or silver lining in every situation. She offers hope to us all!
Lisa is the author of the book, The Light in 9/11: Shocked by Kindness, Healed by Love.
