PA DEP AIR QUALITY WORKSHOPMAY 14, 2019
6.5 PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT HOURS AVAILABLE
Air quality permitting and emission calculation requirements have undergone significant changes over the last year. In August 2018, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PA DEP) finalized a new Air Quality General Permit (GP-5A) for upstream natural gas production activities and revised the existing Air Quality General Permit (GP-5), required for midstream and pipeline activities, with a new electronic permitting process. Early in 2019, the Marcellus Shale Coalition (MSC) Emissions Inventory Guidelines Workgroup developed a standardized methodology for calculating emissions required to be reported annually to PA DEP.
Join oil and gas industry stakeholders to obtain a detailed overview of the MSC standardized emission methodology and participate in a discussion on how to properly report information required by PA DEP. Second, PA DEP officials will review general highlights of the new permits, common errors, and continued improvements to the electronic permitting system. Lastly, workshop presenters will engage in a panel to discuss challenges and lessons learned on industry permitting.
