Reel Talk: ParTy ***: Black Diamonds in Ice Castles Documentary
Are you a ***** man of color? Are you from the Newark greater community?
We invite you to a film screening and discussion with Director Micheal Rice. ParTy ***: black diamonds in ice castles features real stories of people who struggle with crytal meth addiction, coping with the effects, and surviving drug addiction.
Following the screening, Director Micheal Rice and Dean of the Rutgers School of Public Health Dr. Halkitis will hold an open discussion highlighting the films paridigm and how methamphetamines or "Tina" have impacted LGBTQ communities of color.
There’s an intensified importance surrounding substance abuse amongst gay men of color whose stories aren't heard or told. Bringing this film back to the city of Newark will hopefully continue a much needed conversation of who's affected, and why? And what can we do to help!
Light refreshments will be served.

Supporting Community partners include Newark Community Health Center and NJCRI's Project WOW
