Saturday, 27. April 2019, Peace Lutheran Church, Seeds of Caring - Healing Community Trauma Together

Seeds of Caring will change the way you care for yourself and others. Trauma recognition and integration, East Asian medicine principles and the physiology of stress are a few of the subjects covered, giving you a practical set of skills and knowledge to care in new and effective ways. Drawing from Acupuncturists Without Borders and the National Acupuncture Detox Association, you will learn auricular ear seed placement, a remarkably effective approach to treat PTSD and drug withdrawal. You'll also add to your trauma tool kit important body acu-points for health and wellness, Trauma Integration work and self-care strategies like EFT and qigong meditation, plus valuable information on harm reduction, social justice advocacy and why it’s an important factor in stress and trauma, how to recognize burnout and more!
Whether you are a healthcare practitioner, social service provider, activist, parent, or all of the above, Seeds of Caring will strengthen your resiliency and wisdom, giving you reliable tools to draw on so you can be well enough to do the job of caring for yourself, your family and your community. Each participant receives printed handouts and a packet of ear seeds. Please bring a lunch for yourself. Note: parking is very limited so consider public transportation
Come and join us for this wonderful day of caring and fun!
